Elevate Your Manual Therapy Practice with The Spurgeon Method®:
Basic and Advanced Classes for Enhancing Breast Health and Post-Surgery Care
As breast surgeries, cancer diagnoses, and complex upper-torso conditions continue to rise, manual therapists are increasingly called upon to provide care that is not only compassionate—but informed, ethical, and clinically sound.
The Spurgeon Method® is a specialized manual therapy protocol for the breast and upper torso. Developed from lived experience and refined through clinical practice and research, this training fills a critical gap between surgery and rehabilitation—equipping therapists to work with confidence where many have been taught to avoid.
Why This Training Matters
In the U.S., 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and countless others experience breast surgery, hormonal changes, or chronic discomfort affecting the chest and upper torso.
Despite this, most manual therapy education excludes direct work with breast tissue.
The Spurgeon Method® provides therapists with the anatomical understanding, clinical reasoning, and professional frameworks needed to support clients safely, respectfully, and within scope of practice.
