Breast cancer affects women throughout the world in great numbers, but most women are unaware of the many benefits of breast massage. Breast cancer has touched all our lives and it is our mission to ensure that women everywhere understand how important breast massage can be for overall breast health and for post-surgical recovery.
Michelle V, or Miss V as she is affectionately known, has been a medical massage therapist, lymphedema therapist, and massage therapy instructor for over 20 years.
Miss V joined the team at Thérapie after her own experience with breast cancer and is passionate about offering and teaching The Spurgeon Method®. When not working with clients, Miss V makes time in her busy schedule to also teach Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Kinesio Taping classes.
Nalea was drawn to Thérapie after family members had faced a breast cancer diagnosis. Seeking a way to help them, she learned The Spurgeon Method® and Manual Lymphatic Drainage and enjoys offering these to clients in addition to Swedish or relaxation massage, energy work and aromatherapy. She is currently studying to become a Master Aromatherapist and loves to pamper her clients.
Sally is a Board Certified Massage and Bodywork Therapist, Medical Massage Practitioner, Oncology Massage Practitioner, and Certified Lymphedema Therapist.
In 2007 Sally opened Thérapie with the goal of using her experience with massage to help others become pain-free. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, she became even more focused and developed what is now known as The Spurgeon Method®. For over a decade, Sally has been helping women overcome the pain associated with breast surgery through therapeutic massage and bodywork. Today, she's more committed than ever to teaching her method to the next generation of massage therapists.
Thérapie is a Nationally Approved Provider for Continuing Education.
The Spurgeon Method® is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in the US and Accredited by ThinkTree in the UK.
